Emergency services were called to the scene of a large industrial fire just after 7.30pm on Tuesday, July 2. They have worked throughout the night to control the fire.

The scene, which is close to the delivery business APC, is currently cordoned off. Wilson Road is closed from the Manor Farm Road to Cronton Road.

Drone footage shows the scale of the huge fire, with smoke that could be seen for miles around. Firefighter said on Tuesday evening that the blaze involved a large pile of household waste, measuring approximately 50m x 50m and 5m in height.

The fire then spread to a nearby single storey warehouse.
