Aberdeen star Duk's agent insists his client has to leave Pittodrie this summer and blasted the Dons for playing the Cape Verde star as wide man last season.

Duk joined the Reds from Benfica in July 2022 and enjoyed a superb debut campaign, netting 18 goals in all competitions to help Aberdeen clinch a third-place finish in the Premiership and claim a spot in the Team of the Season. That form caught the eye of the likes of Young Boys and several clubs in Italy, but the 24-year-old was unable to replicate those displays in his second year at Pittodrie, registering just seven goals and five assists in 49 matches.

However, Duk's representative Carlos Oliveira has revealed that he will still have plenty options on the table this summer and that Aberdeen should look to cash in on the forward with just a year remaining on his current deal in the Granite City. Speaking to Football Scotland, he said: "Is there transfer interest in Duk right now? Yes, a lot since the end of the first season. This January, despite being a bad season, it wasn't Duk's fault. Who scores 18 goals playing in his position up front, then this season they put him on the wings? He'll have to leave this summer.

"Aberdeen will have to realise that they passed up excellent offers in the summer of 2023 and January 2024. Duk will have one more year on his contract and in January 2025 he can sign as a free player. We don't want to do that, we're grateful to Aberdeen but they'll have to be flexible. It wasn't just Young Boys (who were interested earlier this year). Several teams wanted Duk but Aberdeen rejected everything."

Elsewhere at Pittodrie, Birmingham City are reportedly planning an outrageous move to land Aberdeen striker Bojan Miovski - despite their relegation to League One. The Macedonian was a shining light in an otherwise dismal campaign for the Dons, scoring 26 times in 53 matches in all competitions, including four strikes in Europe.

Swedish boss Jimmy Thelin has now officially taken up the reins at Pittodrie and has bolstered his squad with the captures of Shelbourne defender Gavin Molloy and Ujpest forward Peter Ambrose. But a priority for Thelin this summer will be trying to convince number nine Miovski to stick around for another year.

The 24-year-old is attracting interest from several clubs in Europe, including Feyenoord and Serie A high-flyers Bologna who can both promise the Reds talisman Champions League football. And according to journalist Alan Nixon, Birmingham have now expressed their interest in Miovski, who still has two years left on his contract at Aberdeen.

Brum's 29-year-long stay in the top two tiers of English football came to an end last month after dropping into the Championship, and Miovski is more than likely to aim higher than a club who haven't played in the English Premier League for 13 years. Aberdeen are also looking to receive a record fee for the striker and won't entertain any offers that are less than the £4.2million (plus future add ons) that they banked from Liverpool with the sale of Calvin Ramsay two years ago.
