An Edinburgh shopper was left baffled claiming he was 'taken back in time' to the 90s after entering a popular clothes shop.

The 1990s is having a comeback in the fashion world and Ed, who documents his new life in Edinburgh, has said that H&M has everything you need for those wanting to re-live the era.

Taking to TikTok, Ed said he 'felt weird' as the clothes were a flashback to the past with him, and everyone in the comments said the same thing.

He said: "I'm in H&M right now and I'm freaking out a little bit because the entire 2024 catalogue is just 1996 all over again."

Turning the camera to the clothes, he shows denim shorts or 'jorts' as Ed called them, to which he added: "If that's too casual for you, there's black denim for a more formal look.

"So many flannel shirts, because what else are you going to wrap around your waist? Did you surf or skate? Short-sleeved checked shirts are back, baby! Revisit the 1950s lounge scene, you can dress like Chandler from Friends. RIP Matthew Perry.

"How else are you going to to clubbing without a silk and rayon button-down shirt? It doesn't matter how loud they turn up the music, these shirts are always the loudest."

Later he added: "This is really weird, I've got to leave. But hey, if you want to dress like back when Spice Girls and Oasis were the number one bands in the one, and Friends was the number one show on TV, H&M has you covered."

Many flocked to the comments to share their thoughts of the 90s comeback - with everyone making the same comment.

One said: "I'm 43 and my 13-year-old daughter is dressing up like my wife used to when she was in the 90s, but we are still uncool."

Another commented: "In the 90s my mom couldn’t understand why on Earth my sister and I wanted to dress in bell bottoms and other 70s inspired clothes that she wore when she was young. I get it now. It feels super weird."

"Hated it in my teens, hate it even more now I'm in my 40's," a third added.

Another joked: "Can we get 90's pricing to go with it..."
