Edinburgh walker rushed to hospital after emergency on Arthur's Seat

Emergency services raced to Holyrood Park in Edinburgh on Sunday night following an incident around 5pm.

Multiple ambulance vehicles were spotted at the beauty spot with one patient rushed to the Royal Infirmary for treatment

The exact nature of the incident is unknown at this time, however three special operations response teams (SORT) and one ambulance was dispatched to the scene.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 5.07pm on Sunday May 19 to attend an incident at Holyrood Park, Edinburgh.

"One ambulance and three special operations response teams (SORT) were dispatched to the scene. One patient was transported to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.”
