'Emmerdale' preview: Meena continues to manipulate Charles

Emmerdale villain Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) continues to use vicar Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) to her own advantage in Monday’s hour-long episode of the ITV soap.

Last week, Meena was formally charged for her crimes. Shortly afterwards, she asked Charles to visit her in prison, claiming she had found God and was now longing for redemption.

Charles was conflicted over the situation, confiding in Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton), who warned him about trusting Meena.

While he remained hopeful that the killer could repent for her sins, Charles also pledged to get her to confess to every single murder.

Elsewhere, Rhona Goskirk (Zoë Henry) was given an ultimatum by Marcus Dean (Darcy Grey), son of another evil villager, the late Pierce Harris (Jonathan Wrather). He informed her that he wasn’t planning on leaving any time soon, so she should explain all to partner Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock).

As we return to the Dales, Rhona prepares to speak to Marlon about Pierce and Marcus. He is devastated, believing that she didn’t trust him enough to tell him. Of course, viewers know that she was simply trying to protect him given that Pierce had tried to ruin his life too.

And, let’s be honest, she probably thought she could keep her family life separate from this complex situation. But this is soapland, Rhona - that was never going to happen!

Can she make things right with Marlon, and will he realise that she needs his support rather than his judgement?

Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) will try to find somewhere else to live as she comes to terms with Kim Tate’s (Claire King) intentions to sell her beloved home, Mulberry cottage. Will she have any luck after a difficult few weeks?

Charles heads to see Meena once again, despite his misgivings. She begins to reveal details about her evil deeds, but Charles is still bound by confidentiality. We can promise more chilling scenes ahead, so you won't want to miss this one!

But what exactly does Meena tell him? And does Charles really believe he can persuade her to admit the truth in court?

Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) remains in the dark over her sister’s secret meetings with her other half. She has been tentatively trying to move on from the trauma of the past few months. But she knows Meena will be loving every second of her scheming.

Charles seems to be the only character who hasn’t given up on manipulative Meena. The question is, just how far will Charles be drawn into Meena’s latest game?
