Seeing how fearful his daughter is about the future and being scared of prison himself, Dan ultimately decides that running away is a feasible plan and asks Cain for help in fleeing the country. Later, Cain comes up with the goods and presents his friend with ferry tickets, an old car and a burner phone to help facilitate their escape.
Suddenly, the scheme feels palpably real as Dan, Gabby and Esther leave together. But has the right decision been made? And will Dan come to regret his decision not to face the music?
Laurel is kidnapped by an unstable Colin
Having decided to join Jai on his trip to India, Laurel starts making travel arrangements. But when she makes a move to retrieve a passport belonging to Marshall (who's planning a holiday with his auntie), Colin turns angry and ends up locking Laurel in his son’s bedroom.
Being without her phone, Laurel is trapped and unable to escape, but when Colin’s unbalanced behaviour intensifies, she hits her kidnapper over the head and tries to make a dash for the door, only to get locked in.
Meanwhile, an oblivious Jai, Nicola and Suni all grow concerned about Laurel’s disappearance. And, in the end, it’s Arthur who reveals that she was supposed to be collecting Marshall’s passport from Colin’s house. Cue Jai and Suni taking matters into their own hands as they attempt to track Laurel down. But can she be found before Colin lashes out?
Gabby decides to leave
After last week’s near kiss, we’ll see Gabby fighting her new attraction for Billy, who of course lives under the same roof as she does.
Deciding to extricate herself from this situation, Gabby opts to make an exit and reveals that she’s leaving for Portugal with son Thomas in tow.

Nate’s dodgy dealing
Nate is getting his on-the-job training and is assured by Corey that there are ways to make some extra cash on the side. And soon enough, Nate has earned himself a sizeable tip from a client called Harry. And when Corey learns about the money, he tells Nate that Caleb needn’t know about the money.
Caleb, though, suspects that Corey is up to something dodgy and secretly asks Nate to keep an eye on him. Nate then discovers that the work with Harry is less-than-legitimate but agrees to keep quiet when it comes to Caleb in exchange for more money from Corey.
Nate also warns Corey of Caleb’s suspicions, hoping that this advice will get him out of a dodgy job with Harry. But Corey warns that getting on the wrong side of Harry would get both of them in hot water…
