Feel good musical will get you into the Rhythm of Life!

The Wight Strollers are back at Medina Theatre next weekend, and ready to transport you back to 1960s New York with the tale of Charity Hope Valentine.

Sweet Charity is a funny, feel-good musical, packed with well-known songs like Big Spender, If My Friends Could See Me Now and Rhythm Of Life.

The same team that brought Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Priscilla: Queen of the Desert to the stage at Medina Theatre are behind the show.

Sweet Charity has Sarah Scotcher as director, Kim Ball as musical director, and Cheryl Rudd and Izzi Rudd as choreographers, plus a live nine-piece band

“Our ethos is to raise as much money as possible for local causes, whilst having as much fun as possible, and bringing as much joy to our audiences as possible,” said Sarah Scotcher.

“Sweet Charity will certainly bring a lot of joy – it’s so full of humour and heart, and the cast and crew have all worked so hard to bring this wonderful story to life. I know our audiences will fall in love with the show, just like we all have.”

The Wight Strollers are renowned for their pantomimes, musicals, carnival appearances and charity donations.

They also donate their show proceeds to Island charities and good causes and have given away more than £200,000 – including 14 Public Access Defibrillators – over the last 44 years.

For Sweet Charity, they have Independent Arts and The Salvation Army IW as their beneficiaries.

The show runs from July 12 to July 14 and tickets are available from the Medina Theatre Box Office.
