Armchair fans are treated to some great sporting action, on and off the pitch, with the revamped BBC Sports Personality of the Year on Sunday - just hours after a mouthwatering Premier League clash between Liverpool and Manchester United at Anfield. But if footie is not your thing, there's a chance to see Disney's Frozen on Sky Cinema Christmas and Christopher Robin, which is available to rent or own. Here are our recommendations:

1. BBC Sports Personality of the Year - Sunday at 7pm on BBC One HD

In a first for the long-running awards ceremony, contenders for The BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2018 will be revealed on the night of the show.

Gary Lineker, Clare Balding and Gabby Logan will present the show - in its 65th year - live from Birmingham's Genting Arena.

Members of the public will vote to decide the Greatest Sporting Moment of the Year. The contenders are England's historic netball gold, England's penalty shoot-out win, Alistair Cook's farewell century, Tiger Woods' first win in five years, and Tyson Fury's fightback after knockdowns.

The BBC Overseas Sports Personality of the Year award has been renamed World Sport Star of the Year and votes can also be cast from those living outside the UK for the first time.

If you miss this, learn how you can still watch it via catch-up On Demand via BBC iPlayer where the entire series is available, should you wish to binge watch it! Plus TV customers can set the whole series up to record at the touch of a button.

2. Liverpool v Man Utd and Southampton v Arsenal - Sunday at 1.30pm and 4pm on Sky Sports Premier League

There's the Manchester derby and the Merseyside derby - and then there's Liverpool v Manchester United! The great rivals meet at Anfield as Jurgen Klopp's side remain hot on the heels of leaders Manchester City in the Premier League, while Jose Mourinho's Red Devils can't buy a win at the moment. The last two Premier League meetings between the north-west giants at Anfield have ended goalless, but the bookies expect the home side to collect all 3 points.

Earlier in the day, strugglers Southampton face a tough challenge with the visit of Arsenal. The Saints new manager, Ralph Hasenhuttl, will most likely be looking elsewhere for Premier League survival points as the Gunners continue to press for a return to the top 4.

If Sky Sports is not currently part of your TalkTalk TV package, you can add the flexible Sky Sports Boost, a month at a time, giving you access to eight Sky Sports channels. Madam Secretary
Madam Secretary

This American political drama TV series premiered in 2014 and is now in its fifth season. It stars Téa Leoni as Elizabeth McCord, a former CIA analyst and political science professor turned Secretary of State. While president Conrad Dalton, played by Keith Carredine, values Elizabeth's frankness and how she confidently handles the job on her own terms, those qualities aren't always appreciated, especially by other members of the White House staff.
