Flooding Hits Brooklyn, With Weather Alerts in Place for New York Area

Street flooding was seen in Brooklyn on Friday morning, September 29, after heavy rain hit New York.

Footage captured by X user Ian Ford shows flooding in the Bushwick neighborhood on Friday morning.

A flash flood warning was in effect for the area until Friday afternoon, the National Weather Service said.

Governor Kathy Hochul declared a state of emergency in Brooklyn, which was “seeing some of the heaviest impacts” of the rainstorm.
