Yahoo News Former Watford player and his mum attacked by armed robbers
Robbers broke into a former Watford FC player's home armed with a taser and hammer before attacking him and his mother.
Ikechi Anya’s property in Kidlington was raided at around 11am on Friday (June 28) by two men - sparking a Thames Valley Police appeal for witnesses.
Two men broke in and assaulted the 36-year-old footballer and his mother in her 60s, before making off with three watches worth a total of £20,000.
Police said they stole a Chopard Classic Racing Superfast with the Hornets badge and “April 2015” engraved on it, as well as a 33mm Hublot Classic Fusion Original Black Magic and a 34mm black Rolex Oyster Perpetual.

Police said the thieves were both wearing motorcycle helmets and dark clothing, and fled on a black motorbike with no registration plate.
One suspect was described as white and the other of mixed heritage background and carrying a dark-coloured rucksack.
The footballer’s mother suffered minor injuries in the attack but did not require hospital treatment.
Ikechi’s brother Chima Anya said on X on Saturday: “Got some real bad news today, Ikechi was robbed…”
He added he would be “grateful” if residents could share the Thames Valley Police appeal.

Detective Inspector Kate May said: “I understand this may be concerning for the community but there is nothing to suggest there is any wider threat to the public.”
She added that police had increased their presence in the area over the weekend.
