Gemma Atkinson has jokingly said 'who knows where Gorka Marquez is' as she revealed she's been left solo at home following their exciting joint news. The couple are set to return to TV screens in another series of their very own reality series.

Gemma, 39, and Gorka, 33, appeared in their own reality TV series ahead of the arrival of their second child and showed the pair opening up their lives and Greater Manchester home to the cameras as they documented their second pregnancy journey and the "absolute utter chaos of our day-to-day lives at home juggling work, dogs, toddlers and hormones."

Following the success of the show, on Thigo's arrival, it was revealed back in January, the pair would be letting the cameras back in to share more of their life unfiltered in the second series of Gemma and Gorka: Life Behind the Lens for UKTV’s free-to-air entertainment channel W and streaming service UKTV Play.

Produced by Two Rivers Media, the hit UKTV Original series will once again see the couple will open their doors to their private life and offer viewers an intimate look into their world, as they embrace full-on family chaos since becoming a family of four. And earlier this week, they confirmed the air date of the upcoming second series.

Sharing a new trailer to Instagram, Gemma could be seen in the early stages of being a mum-of-two as four-year-old Mia could be heard introducing her family - including pet pooches Ollie and Norman - one by one before they were seen cracking on with family and work life.

"Here we go!" Gemma started the caption of her post on Instagram. "Gemma & Gorka: Life behind the lens series 2. Starts 6th May at 8pm on @wtvchannel and @uktvplay Thank you so much you for sticking with us. It means a lot."

In the meantime, Gemma's maternity leave has come to an end and on Wednesday (April 17) she returned to work on Hits Radio with co-host Mike Toolan and Producer Matt. During her return to the drivetime slot, which starts weekdays at 4pm, Mike asked Gemma how she was coping with the two children with Gorka heading into rehearsals before hitting the road with the Strictly Come Dancing The Professionals tour.

Gemma said: "He’s away for five weeks now who knows where, he’s all over the shop. It is tough and it isn’t - it takes a village they say with kids and I’m very fortunate that me mum and me sister are very close by. But it’s all me and Gorka have known, so sometimes it is easier for me to get into the routine with the children whilst he’s not here and then he comes back and ruins the routine."

She joked: "But he’s nice to have around the house! Gorka is a fantastic chef and really good in the kitchen so the hardest thing is I have to make me own meals now which is awful isn’t it?!"

Bury-born Gemma added: "And the school run is manic because I have to get Thiago sorted and if he does a poonami I have to deal with it now whereas Gorka could step in while I sorted Mia. So, I feel like I need to be an octopus but it's fine it’s only two!"

Meanwhile, Gemma exclusively spoke to the Manchester Evening News about her son's arrival and how she's been finding life as a mum-of-two."I've absolutely loved it," she told us. "I feel like they've both always been here. Thiago's slotted in perfectly and I think with Mia starting school in September like she did, it helped in getting my routine with Thiago...

"I think the timing of it, although on paper you'd think, 'Oh my gosh, I'm going to have a three-month-old baby and another child starting school for the first time, dad working away, how am I going to cope?' It kind of forces you to in a way because you've got no option. It's not been easy but it's been easier than I thought and now the routine just fits perfectly. He 'Thiago] has found his way, Mia's fantastic with him so yeah, it's all fitted together really."

Gemma Atkinson is back on Hits Radio now and co-hosts alongside Mike Toolan from 4pm every weekday.
