Gemma Collins: 'I've given up on love'

It’s not uncommon to feel left out when everyone else in the world seems to be paired up and love-sick.

It might even make you feel queasy.

But Gemma Collins has declared she’s had enough of the emotional rollercoaster once and for all and has “given up” on romance altogether, following her recent revelation that she had unprotected sex with her ex James ‘Arg’ Argent in the hope she’d get pregnant.

The reality TV sensation has resigned herself to the fact that she only ever ends up disappointed when a romance comes to an end, and although she’s not a “hater of love”, finding a soul mate is “not on [her] agenda” at the moment.

Speaking to the Metro Online, the ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ star said: “Love’s not on my agenda right now to be honest, I’m kind of over it, it always ends up in disappointment with me.

“I’ve given up on love. I’m not a hater of love but having a man right now is not on my agenda.”

The 36-year-old reality TV star, who is know for making us laugh with her ‘real talk’, is set to return to our screens when the new series of the popular ITVBe show airs, and she has revealed her busy schedule makes it hard for her to date someone.

“And I have got so much work on that actually I haven’t got time for one, not one that’s going to mess me about either. I just don’t need the hassle in my life,” she added.

James ‘Arg’ Argent will also return to the programme this weekend, but she has vowed not to enjoy a steamy sex session with her former flame again because she has “been there, done that, got the T-shirt”.

She said: “People say would you sleep with him again – but no, we’ve kind of been there, done that, got the T-shirt etc.

“I know he got the a***hole because I came out and spoke about it and he really wanted to get back with Lydia, but you know it takes two to tango.

“So he’ll be back, we love Arg.”

However, the viral sensation thinks Arg’s mother has the “hump” with her and she fears in the forthcoming episodes she will have to make amends with the 29-year-old’s parent.

She said: “Although he said his mum’s got the hump with me, so I might have to do a scene where I go and see his mother.”

We can’t wait to see it.
