'I'm a Celeb': Declan Donnelly twerks as he 'competes' for camera time with Holly Willoughby

Declan Donnelly and Holly Willoughby poked fun at the idea of them ‘competing for camera time’ on the latest series of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!

The pair have been accused of not having screen chemistry compared to Donnelly’s usual presenting partner Ant McPartlin, but now they finally proved that they are up for a bit of banter after all.

During last night’s show, Willoughby quipped: “You put two presenters together, big egos, both of them want as much screen time as they can possibly get. It is a little bit pathetic if you ask me.”

“Pathetic!” replied Donnelly. “I will just do this next link.”

“Well I was going to do it actually,” retorted Willoughby.

“I think it’s probably best if I do it!” Donnelly jokingly hit back.

The camera zoomed then onto Willoughby who commented on the flattering lighting, only to have Donnelly steal limelight back, by jumping onto the table and twerking in front of a hysterical Willoughby.

His gyrating dance move comes a day after several of the campmates, including Fleur East, twerked in the jungle. Donnelly had joked about trying to twerk too, only for his presenting scene to be cut short.

Viewers were delighted to finally see Donnelly twerk on screen. One viewer remarked it was the ‘highlight’ of their year while another said: ‘it didn’t take Dec long to actually twerk after last night did it.’

It has already been a headline grabbing week for I’m a Celebrity. Anne Hegerty was accused of ‘drinking Coke’ instead of a fish-eyed smoothie during a Bushtucker Trial and we saw Emily Atack and Malique Thompson-Dwyer do a horrifying X Factor singing themed trial.

While over on I’m a Celebrity: Extra Camp presenter Joel Dommett was rushed to hospital after suffering a knock to the head and his co-presenter Joe Swash had to have a cockroach surgically removed from his ear.
