I'm A Celebrity preview: Amir Khan struggles with second Bushtucker Trial as he drops a key

He has earned the nickname Amir Khan’t from some of the Twittersphere after ending his first I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Bushtucker Trial early when he got scared off by a snake.

But things don’t look to be improving for Amir Khan in Tuesday night’s episode as he struggles with his second challenge, Flushed Out.

In an I’m A Celeb preview clip, the professional boxer is seen putting his hand right in amongst a pool of 50 yabbies to retrieve a key, but while doing so he drops another vital key.

He says: “Where’s my other key? I’ve dropped it.”

Co-host Declan Donnelly shrieks in horror at the mishap, and his fellow presenter Ant McPartlin says: “You dropped it?”

Ant then puts his hand to his face, and Dec says: “Oh no, he was doing so well.”

Amir then takes a deep breath and starts to swim downwards through the huge tube of water to try to retrieve the yellow key, but he cannot see it.

The former light-welterweight world champion – who admitted on last night’s programme he hasn’t ever seen the show before and expected the first trial to be easier – then goes down for another go and emerges with a key, much to the delight of the co-hosts.

Ant says: “Yes! He’s got it, good lad.”

But Amir – who previously branded I’m a Celebrity stars “has beens” – punches the water in frustration as he realises he’s picked up the wrong key.

We’ll have to tune in later tonight to see if he managed to find the correct key and win any meals for camp – but if yesterday’s trial was anything to go by it could be another serving of rice and beans for the fighter and his fellow campmates.

On Monday night’s trial, Amir had to utter the infamous line, “I’m a celebrity… get me out of here”, after he accidentally pulled a snake out of a hole.

He mistook the serpent for a rope, and was too frightened to carry on.

Beforehand, he had been shrieking and screaming after coming face-to-face with various bugs and critters.

Amir’s latest trial airs on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! on Tuesday November 21 at 9pm on ITV.
