Internet divided over woman's 'genius' cheese-slicing hack

A woman has been branded a 'genius' for her cheese-cutting hack that's taking the internet by storm.

The struggle of cutting cheese by hand can lead to all sorts of slice sizes, some too thick, others misshapen. However, a clever lady has come up with a brilliant solution.

Her ingenious trick ensures you get 'even slices' consistently. Bella, who goes by @paperbelle on social media, has earned praise for her 'genius' method of slicing cheese without using a traditional knife, reports the Mirror.

In a TikTok video that has now amassed over 180,000 views, the mum demonstrates that she uses a potato peeler to cut her cheese. She poses the question to her followers: "You mean to tell me you've never used a peeler to peel your cheese?".

The Australian influencer then proceeds to show her technique, gliding the peeler over a block of cheddar to produce thin, even slices perfect for sandwiches.

She explained: "I have done this my whole life. My whole family does this. And you do it because you get a really even cheese slice."

She then shows off her flawlessly uniform slice to the camera, remarking: "See? It's perfect."

The TikTok community was left astonished by the hack, with the comments section quickly filling up with people calling it a "game-changer".

One astounded user commented: "You've changed my life! Whaattttt?!".

Another person was impressed, commenting: "This is lowkey genius". A third, equally captivated, social media user said: "Omg it's genius! Doing this from now on!".

The simplicity of the hack took a different user by surprise who commented: "How do people not know this? " However, some users suggested even more accessible ways to achieve the same result.

One recommended she should simply purchase a Norwegian cheese slicer citing that it serves the same purpose. Meanwhile, others highlighted that cheese graters already have a slicing side.
