Andrea McLean has hinted she could be returning to Loose Women, four years since her shock exit. The former panellist left the ITV programme back in 2020.

The 54-year-old became a viewer favourite on the lunchtime chat show, with a television career spanning more than two decades before bowing out. She made the decision to instead focus on her mindset app - This Girl Is On Fire.

It was also time for her to prioritise her Mastering Midlife podcast which she co-hosts alongside husband, Nick Feeney. Fans were left shocked when she announced her departure from Loose Women, having first appeared on the panel in 2007.

However according to reports in OK! years on from her exit, the Scottish star is now "open" to making a return despite not remaining in contact with some of her former co-stars.

Responding to the rumours she could be joining the panel again later this year, Andrea teased: "I'm open to anything... for the past few years my answer has always been no."

She continued: "However, since coaching others, the door in my head has creaked open a bit...and suddenly people are knocking on the door again, which is nice. So yes, I could be coming back to screens this year, but I'm not saying any more than that!"

Andrea worked alongside co-stars including Denise Welch, Janet Street-Porter and Coleen Nolan. Discussing if she kept in contact with them, she revealed to Woman's Own magazine that she does with some and not others, the Mirror reports.

"Yes, not everyone, in the same way that everybody doesn't keep in touch with everyone they've worked with. I saw Brenda [Edwards] last week and Denise [Welch]. There are a few of us [who stay in touch]. I don't go out very often, but I did attend Linda Robson's book launch in London recently, she's brilliant!"

Announcing her new venture earlier this month, Andrea posted a video on Instagram captioned: "For the past 10 months I have been working behind the scenes on my new project and now I want to offer my services to you! I have brought together my 20+ years of experience as a TV Presenter with my 5+ years working with my This Girl Is On Fire community into something wonderful. It's called The Media Coach Academy."

She added: "We are all presenters now, even if it's not on TV and it is daunting to film yourself for social content, to talk on a stage, and even to attend networking events if you don't have the tools of the trade to help you stay calm and look confident. I love what I do and that's why I created this."
