Liverpool head coach Arne Slot will undoubtedly be keeping a close eye on Euro 2024 with a number of potential transfer targets in action. Fabian Ruiz, Dani Olmo and Federico Chiesa, all having been linked to Liverpool, featured in Saturday's run of games, with the trio enduring very different 'transfer auditions'.

Of those three, Chiesa is the one attracting significant attention, with Juventus finally looking likely to sell and at a reasonable price. That is because the Italian giants are chasing Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood. However, it is said they can only sign him if one Chiesa or Matias Soule departs.

One player Liverpool are definitely interested in is Leny Yoro. But it appears he has only one destination in mind.

With all of that being said, the ECHO has taken a look at some of the big transfer rumours surrounding the Reds.

Chiesa 'passes' transfer audition

On the right of a bright Italy attack, Chiesa showed Liverpool what he is all about with a gut-busting performance, both offensively and defensively.

While he was unable to get on the score sheet or pick up an assist, the 26-year-old proved exactly how he could be the perfect wide player for Slot's system. And with Chiesa being available for between £25.4million and £33.9m, as per Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, it makes a deal definitely worth considering.

The ECHO says: Given his injury problems over the last few years, it is fair to admit there are question marks over Chiesa. However at such a price and, with Chiesa showcasing the talent he still has, Liverpool formalising their supposed interest may well beworthwhile.

Slot has numerous attacking options but minor injury issues have plagued both Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah, so adding depth could be an aim for this summer. Concerns Chiesa's own injury problems are still present would be understandable, however in the season gone he missed just five Serie A games.

Yoro transfer reality

Liverpool, Manchester United and Real Madrid all want to sign Leny Yoro ahead of the 2024/25 season, but it appears only one club are really in with a chance.

According to the Express, the £42.3m bid launched on Saturday was from an unnamed Premier League club. Their report also added the 18-year-old only has eyes on the Spanish capital.

The ECHO says: Liverpool's reported interest in Yoro is hardly surprising given his talents, but with everything pointing toward him signing for Madrid, the Reds could be better off looking elsewhere.

While not as young and with perhaps not an as high ceiling as Yoro, there are plenty of options out there that Liverpool can strengthen their defence with. Matthijs de Ligt, still only 24, has been strongly linked to an exit from Bayern Munich while the likes of Jean-Clair Todibo and Goncalo Inacio are likely to be on the move soon.
