Major road to close for eight nights of resurfacing works

An A road is due to close for eight nights so resurfacing works can take place.

The A134 Bury Road in Thetford will close from Queensway south towards the Suffolk border for work to take place on the worn-out surface.

Work is due to start on May 20 and a fully signed diversion route will be in place.

A map showing the section of road that will close (Image: Norfolk County Council)For safety, the road will close to through traffic each night between 7pm – 6am, but homewoeners will still be able to gain access.

Between 6am and 7pm the road will be open with two-way traffic lights in place.

The work, costing £342,000, will be carried out by Norfolk County Council’s Community and Environmental Services Department and their contractors.
