Who is Marc Guehi? The England defender starting against Serbia

Marc Guehi has been chosen to start in England's first Euro 2024 game against Serbia. The 23-year-old will partner John Stones at centre-back as The Three Lions compete in their first group game.

Here is everything you need to know about Guehi:

Guehi plays as a centre-back for Premier League club Crystal Palace.
He was born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, and moved with his family to Lewisham, London, England, when he was one years old.
Guehi progressed through the youth ranks at Chelsea.
He was named in Chelsea's Premier League squad for the first time in May 2019.
Guéhi joined Crystal Palace on a five-year contract for a reported fee of £18 million in 2021, making him the club's third-most expensive signing of all time.
He played for the England Under 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21 squad before being selected for the England senior team in 2022.
