The Masked Singer UK spoilers follow.

The Masked Singer UK has only just begun its second series but there are already guesses flying around about which famous faces are behind those elaborate masks.

Singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Spice Girls' Mel B have both already been unmasked on the show, while stars including Stacey Solomon, Joe Swash and Dynamo have all responded to rumours about whether or not they're behind the masks.

And now football broadcaster Chris Kamara has spoken out about rumours that he could be behind the Grandfather Clock costume, teasing his potential involvement on Channel 4's Steph's Packed Lunch today (January 5).

Speaking to host Steph McGovern about The Masked Singer, Kamara was frustratingly cryptic about his potential involvement.

After McGovern asked him directly whether he is the Grandfather Clock, Kamara simply replied: "It's a great show."

Kamara caused even more suspicion by wearing a brown jumper for his appearance on the show – something which, coupled with his famous moustache, made him look suspiciously like the Grandfather Clock costume.

When a side-by-side picture of Kamara and Grandfather Clock was presented, comedian Russell Kane jokingly announced: "Look at that, it's like a spot the difference!"

After former politician and Strictly Come Dancing 2020 contestant Jacqui Smith commented that Kamara was wearing "the same top" as Grandfather Clock and Kane joked that "they've not even changed the face", Kamara simply replied: "You've clocked it!"

Nothing was going to make Kamara give up any information as he simply smiled while McGovern did her best to tease out some details.

"Obviously we don't want to ruin the show but can you give us any hint?" she said. "Have you got the time on you Kammy? It's a story that really chimes with Kammy this one... Oh, you've got such a good poker face!"

It remains to be seen whether Kamara really is Grandfather Clock but all four of the show's judges – Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Rita Ora and Jonathan Ross – will be desperate to guess correctly, as they have opened up about how competitive they get with each other.

Steph's Packed Lunch airs weekdays at 12.30pm on Channel 4. The Masked Singer continues this Saturday (January 9) at 7pm on ITV.
