Alongside the big names - Pet Shop Boys, Suede and Green Day - at the Isle of Wight Festival 2024, a host of local bands took to stages around the Seaclose Park site.

The event was awash with talent, on stages including Platform One, River Stage, Kashmir Cafe and the Intoxicated Tea Rooms.

The Isle of Wight music scene was well represented and we caught some of the Islanders as they entertained the crowds.

Among those to perform this year was Wight Noize winners Marnie Marie, who opened the Main Stage on Sunday.

The Island band, who were styled by Platform One students on its sustainable fashion degree course, also performed on the music college's stage the day before.

Marnie herself cited Beverley Knight as an inspiration, describing the popular singer as "incredible.”

Other Island artists the County Press had the pleasure of hearing on the smaller stages across the week included funk rockers Hashtag, Coach Party, festival organiser John Giddings with several bands, 30Ten, Spike Oakley, Olivia McCreath, The Pill, Ugly Ozo, Lewis Shepperd, Zach and Lily, Amy Joliffe, Ruby, and Peachy Keen.
