Motorcyclist died in road traffic collision, inquest hears

An inquest ruled that the death of a motorcyclist in an east Suffolk village last year was the result of a road traffic collision.

Christopher Julians was 36 when he died in a crash in Orford Road in Bromeswell, near Woodbridge, on July 2 last year.

Mr Julians, who was from Felixstowe, was riding his motorcycle when he was involved in a three-vehicle collision between a black Volkswagen T-Roc car and another motorcycle.

Emergency services, including the air ambulance, were called to the scene and police closed the road between The Unruly Pig gastropub and Woodbridge Golf Club.

The driver of the car was not injured, while the rider of the second motorcycle, a man in his 50s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment.

Mr Julians died as a result of his injuries.

An inquest into his death was held at Suffolk Coroners’ Court in Ipswich.

The presiding coroner, Dr Daniel Sharpstone, concluded that Mr Julians died as the result of a road traffic collision in a hearing on Monday.
