Motorcyclist seriously injured after crash on Cambridge road

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Cambridge on Tuesday evening (May 21). The crash on Huntingdon Road involved a car and a motorcycle.

Officers and paramedics attended the scene. The motorcyclist was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries after the crash.

An eyewitness who drove past at about 10pm told CambridgeshireLive that they saw several emergency vehicles stopped in the cycle lane at the side of the road with their lights flashing. They said it was dark and rainy at the time.

A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson said: "We were called with reports at about 9pm yesterday (21 May) of a collision involving a motorcycle and a car on Huntingdon Road, Cambridge. Officers and paramedics attended the scene. One person was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital for serious, but not life-threatening injuries."

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called just before 9pm on Tuesday with reports of a road traffic collision on Huntingdon Road involving a motorbike and a car. Two ambulances were sent to the scene. One patient, an adult male, was transported to Addenbrooke's Hospital for further care."
