Muse's Matthew Bellamy welcomes second child with wife Elle Evans in surprise post

Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy has become a father for the third time after his US model wife Elle Evans gave birth to their second child together.

The rocker shared the happy news on his Instagram on Monday, reposting an image originally uploaded by Elle. The proud mum introduced their son, George Julien-Wade Bellamy, to the world with a series of heartwarming photos, revealing they had enjoyed the first week with their baby away from the public eye.

"We are so pleased to announce the arrival of our new baby angel boy", wrote the 34-year-old model, "born on Sunday May 12, 2024. The most special blessing born on Mother's Day and what would've been my late Mother's 60th birthday."

Elle went on to share the significance behind their son's name: "Named after Matt's Dad George, my Mom Julie, and my cowboy dad Billy Wade Evans. He arrived healthy, happy, and handsome as ever! ! ! We are obsessed and basking in newborn heavenly bliss! ! !"

In her heartfelt message, Elle also expressed her gratitude towards her "supportive" spouse Matthew reports the Mirror. She said: "I am recovering well and he has already settled into such a nice routine. So grateful to my wonderfully perfect husband @mattbellamy for being so supportive and by my side every step of the way! It's an honour to bring another brilliant Bellamy into existence!"

In a heart-warming response to Elle's post, Matthew's father George penned: "Well done both of you on producing a beautiful baby and extending both our families with a son, no less. I feel very proud that you gave him my name, and those of Elle's mum and dad I'm absolutely delighted and love you all loads."

Shortly after the photos were posted, fans began to comment on how much baby George already looks like his famous father. "He is mini copy of Matt, so cute ! ", one enthusiast shared. Another echoed: "5th slide already looks like Matt."

The adorable photographs also featured baby George's older sister, three year old Lovella, and their tender sibling connection brought a warm response from followers. "Awww Lovella holding him, congrats on your beautiful family Elle," one fan gushed.

Matthew and Elle first became enamoured in February 2015 after crossing paths on the set of Muse's mega-hit Mercy. This burgeoning romance marked a new chapter for the singer, who was just beginning to move on from his split with American actress Hudson, mother of his first child, Bingham, born in July 2011.

After two years of love story, news of Matthew and Elle's engagement hit the headlines in December 2017. The couple said 'I do' in August 2019 and expanded their family with their first daughter, Lovella, in June 2020 - making the Muse frontman a father for the second time.
