Disney+'s October release schedule looks to be an exciting one for subscribers, with the latest Marvel hit, big budget blockbusters, and a spooky selection of classics coming to the platform.

This month will see Star Wars series Ahsoka come to an end but it will soon by followed up by the start of the second season of Marvel's Loki which will continue the God of Mischief's story after the dramatic ending of the show's first season.

Elsewhere Disney+ will premiere several horror films and shows ranging from The Boogeyman to the fifth season of FX's hilarious vampire mockumentary What We Do in the Shadows. There will also be a Goosebumps revival coming in October, and the streaming debut of Haunted Mansion.

Disney's remake of family horror film Haunted Mansion will premiere on Disney+ in October following its theatrical release over the summer.

The film has an A-list cast that includes LaKeith Stanfield, Rosario Dawson, and Owen Wilson and it is about a ragtag group who investigate the hauntings at the home of doctor Gabbie (Dawson) and her son.

Loki season 2 | 6 October

Tom Hiddleston returns as the Trickster God Loki, who is trying to undo the damage caused by his variant Sylvie (Sophia DiMartino) when she killed He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors), creating a split in the timelines and unleashing the multiverse in full force.

The show will see Loki try to stop Kang the Conqueror (also Majors) from ruling over the multiverse, and he is joining forces with Mobius (Owen Wilson) and others to stop the threat before it is too late.

Rob Savage's horror film The Boogeyman is coming to Disney+ right in time for Halloween, and it will serve as the perfect watch for a scary movie night.

The film follows a family who encounter a terrifying supernatural entity, which feeds on their suffering and begins to terrorise them relentlessly.

R. L. Stine's classic Goosebumps novels are being brought back to the silver screen with a revival series on Disney+, the new take on the story follows five high school students as they investigate the death of another teen three decades earlier.

As they delve deeper into the twisted mystery, the teens will discover several secrets about their town and from their parents' past.

The public were gripped by the social media scandal that began between Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy, which stemmed from Rooney accusing Vardy of selling stories about her to the press following a sting operation to single the perpetrator out.

It led to a high court trial in which Vardy accused Rooney of libel and lost, with a judge ruling that Rooney's accusations were "substantially true".

What We Do in the Shadows season 5 | 25 October

FX's hit horror comedy What We Do in the Shadows returns for another season, following the loveable vampire roommates of Staten Island as they navigate a new set of challenges in their (undead) lives.

The new season will follow vampires Nandor (Kayvan Novak), Laszlo (Matt Berry), Nadja (Natsia Demetriou), Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch), and their familiar Guillermo (Harvey Guillén) following the events of season 4, which ended with Guillermo demanding he be turned into a vampire.
