Police are investigating the deaths of four people, including three children, at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QUEH), it has emerged. The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS), which has a duty to investigate all sudden, unexpected, and unexplained deaths, has instructed officers from Police Scotland to look into the flagship hospital in Glasgow. The deaths of a 73-year-old woman and three children are being investigated, and although inquiries are still in early stages, they could lead to a fatal accident inquiry or criminal charges.
