Police give update after stabbing in residential area

A MAN wanted in connection with an alleged stabbing in Christchurch has been located.

Jordan McClay, aged 33 and from Christchurch, was wanted in connection with the incident in Hunt Road in Somerford on Tuesday, June 11.

Following enquiries by officers, he was located and arrested.

He was subsequently released on police bail as detectives carry out further enquiries.

As reported, emergency services were called to Hunt Road at 12.01pm on June 11 following reports a man had sustained stab wounds.

The victim was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.

Although police initially arrested a man in his 40s, he was later de-arrested.
