Queen Elizabeth's Last Corgi, Whisper, Dies at Age 12
Queen Elizabeth's last corgi, Whisper, has died at age 12.
The queen had taken the pup under her wing after its former owner, Bill Fenwick, died in 2016. She was close with Whisper, who could be seen trailing her throughout Buckingham Palace, according to The Daily Mail.
"Whisper was a friendly chap and followed her everywhere," a source told the news outlet. The dog died last week.
The 92-year-old monarch adopted the dog after Fenwick's death despite saying she didn't want any more canines, fearing that she would leave behind a young pup following her death.
The queen lost another corgi, Willow, earlier this year. But thankfully, she still has Candy and Vulcan, her "dorgis" — crosses between a dachshund and a corgi.
