Tottenham Hotspur have set their asking price for Wales international Joe Rodon this summer as Leeds United look to sign him on a permanent deal, according to reports.

Rodon, 26, spent the 2023/24 season loan at Elland Road where he started 42 games in the Championship across Leeds' push for promotion back to the Premier League.

The former Swansea City man was a key member of Daniel Farke's side during the campaign and could now be set for a return to West Yorkshire this summer after Leeds were informed about how much a deal could potentially cost.

According to Football Insider, Spurs are willing to accept offers in the region of £10million for Rodon, who has been deemed surplus to requirements by manager Ange Postecoglou. Rodon arrived in North London for £11m back in 2020 but has made just 15 appearances for the club in the top flight of English football.

However, the Whites will face competition to secure the signing this summer as newly promoted trio Leicester City, Southampton and Ipswich Town all monitor Rodon's situation ahead of the 2024/25 season. Leeds were beaten by the Saints in the playoff final at Wembley Stadium in May, which could now cost them if Rodon has aspirations of playing at the highest level next season.

The report went on to claim that Leicester could have the upper hand in any negotiations due to Rodon's former bosses, Graham Potter and Steve Cooper, both being touted as Enzo Maresca's potential successor at the King Power Stadium. The Italian guided Leicester to the Premier League but has since taken charge at Chelsea, as the Foxes now search for his replacement.

Speaking on Rodon's future and a potential permanent move to Leeds back in January, Farke commented on the possibility of Leeds exploring a permanent deal.: "There is no doubt we are more than happy with Joe," the Leeds boss said. "He is growing into this club more and more, a leader role, you see how much it means to him to wear this white shirt.

“He is just happy to be here. He is crucial. We are more than happy. We would like him to stay for a bit longer, but right now it is not an urgent topic. We're a bit depending on what the other parties think about this topic.

"We'll definitely try behind the scenes to do our stuff. You know how much I like and value Joe and his importance for the team."
