Stephanie Davis has said she thinks she will always be looking over her shoulder, after being driven from her own home by a stalker.

Alex Boston, 43, has been jailed for stalking the former Hollyoaks star between April 2020 and July 2021, during which time he is said to have "inundated" her with cards and letters and left presents for her at her home.

Davis, 28, told This Morning that since his sentencing to 28 weeks in prison: “I feel relieved. I slept for the first time in a long time."

"I still think it’ll take a while… even when I left my house yesterday, I’ve got a rustle-y plant at the end of my drive and it [scared me].”

The reality star is a single mother to four-year-old son Caben, and admitted her stalker's behaviour became the most disturbing when he started sending presents for her son and saying he would like to be a father to him.

She revealed: “As soon as he mentioned Caben - and he left presents for [him] - my blood started to boil. I was really scared. I was a single mum, living at home on my own - petrifying. I had to leave my home with Caben - our safe place was violated.”

The soap star revealed when daffodils were first left outside her home in the spring of 2020 her young son asked to take them inside.

She said: "I didn’t think anything of it, so I let him put them in the plant pot. Now, on reflection, if he was watching me, he [the stalker] saw that as a sign of acceptance and it just carried on.”

Davis revealed she fled her home in fear and went to stay with family.

She said: “My whole routine was disturbed. In my mum’s house were my brothers, my dad, my nan because she’s got dementia…. I was in bed with my mum one night, with Caben in another bed another night, it was horrible, not being able to go to your home or just to get clothes.

Davis - who revealed in 2019 she had been diagnosed with high-functioning autism and has spoken out about her battles with alcohol addiction and depression - admitted the stress an anxiety of being a victim of stalking had put added pressure on her mental health.

She said: “I was literally looking over my shoulder every time the wind blew, I was constantly filled with anxiety... Terrible... I think it definitely had a big impact to my mental health. I struggle with my mental health anyway, but when that happened my anxiety was through the roof. I was constantly having panic attacks.
