Places are still available for the first ever Peterborough Running Festival, which is set to take place on Sunday (June 30) in Nene Park.

Participants taking part in the family-friendly event will enjoy a scenic 5km loop course that winds through the Ferry Meadows, its lakes and woodland.

A flat and a fast course means runners of all abilities can take part.

The event is being organised by RunThrough, a running events company which is also organising the Chariots of Fire Relay in Cambridge this September.

Matt Wood, Co-Founder of RunThrough, said: "We are thrilled to introduce the Peterborough Running Festival to our lineup of events.

“Nene Park is an exceptional venue with its varied landscapes and accessible location.

“This festival is designed to offer something for everyone, from seasoned runners looking to achieve a new personal best to families seeking a fun day out."

Registration for the Peterborough Running Festival is still available.
