British Airways first flight from Southampton Airport.

Two new routes from Southampton Airport will make their first flights this weekend.

The two summer destinations flights start this weekend with British Airways as the new summer route to Bergerac in France starts.

Passengers looking for some Mediterranean sun will also be able to fly from the city to Majorca from today.

Flights to Bergerac got underway yesterday.

The new summer routes were announced on Southampton Airport's X account, formerly known as Twitter.

The post said: "Happy Friday, folks! We have a busy weekend here at SOU, with two new summer routes launching with British Airways.

"Fly to Bergerac from tomorrow and Majorca from Sunday Any questions for us? We'll be here all weekend."
