Mixers all across the world, listen up: It has been announced that Little Mix will perform their brand new single, Shout Out To My Ex, on The X Factor results show this weekend.

On Sunday night, the Little Mix ladies took to their official Twitter account to announce their brand new single from their upcoming album, and we literally cannot wait to hear it.

Confirming their very first performance of the track, Little Mix tweeted: “We’re releasing #ShoutOutToMyEx next Sunday 16.10.16 after our FIRST EVER live performance of it on @TheXFactor!! CAN’T WAIT! The girls x”

After taking to the stage, Shout Out To My Ex will be released worldwide to stream and download. The single is written by Little Mix, Camille Purcell, Iain James and Electric, and also produced by Electric who previously worked on Black Magic.

Shout Out To My Ex has been described as “the epitome of the word anthem. An empowering, in your face, break up song, with a killer chorus and bold lyrics” – aka everything you could ever want from a Little Mix song.

The vocal quartet – featuring Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock – will be the second set of X Factor champs to return to the show this year.

On the first results show last night, 2012 winner James Arthur made an emotional return to the X Factor stage to perform his new number one single Say You Won’t Let Go.

And it’s also expected that last year’s champion Louisa Johnson will return to promote her new album, which is said to be an eclectic mix of genres inspired by some of her favourite musicians.

The X Factor airs live on ITV from 8PM on Saturday and Sunday night.
