Colchester Motorbike group hosting a free family event - here's more

A motor bike group with more than 1,000 members is hosting a 'Moto Fest' event this weekend to raise money for the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance.

The Colchester Motorbike Group's free family event will take place on Saturday, July 6, from 3pm to 8pm at the Crown pub in Wormingford.

There will be live music from the band Park Drive and DJ RayMar, as well a sweet stall, cake stall, handmade goods and raffles.

For children, there will be Jumbletime Face Painting and a bouncy castle.

EVBS Essex Bloodrunners, a group offering free delivery of blood products, will also be at the event, as well as first responders.

The event is raising money for the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance which on average are called seven times a day, with each mission costing £2800.

Event organiser and group founder James Chambers said: "We have our first event coming up this Saturday that we are very excited about.

"It’s being hosted at the Crown pub by the lovely Sarah and Paul, who have been a huge part of helping me make this group successful.

"It’s going to be a fantastic family fun day and we hope to see lots of you there."
