Davina McCall has been quickly supported by her famous pals as well as her fans as she spoke out on the 'abuse' she has been receiving from trolls over her weight. The TV presenter is pretty well known for her fitness exploits having released books and workout videos.

However, she found herself hitting back at 'cruel' online trolls who left abusive comments about her weight on a recent post, claiming she looked 'too skinny' and 'gaunt'. Davina has now told how she was 'furious' at the response to the video and took to Instagram to share her frustration.

In a new video, the 56-year-old assured her followers she isn't 'unhealthy' and pleading with them to hink before posting nasty comments on social media.

While admitting in the caption of the post that she would 'probably regret' posting the honest clip, Davina said in the video: "Hi, I just thought I'd quickly do a post about the kind of, uh, I guess it is abuse, that I'm getting about my weight. It's really frustrating and I feel like people post these things and then they have no consequences."

Davina was referring to comments left on a clip she had posted earlier in the week, where she gave an insight into her M&S food shop, but was left with many fans commenting negatively on her face and neck.

"They can post whatever they like and then be cruel and I just have to, kind of, take it. I'm actually just left sitting feeling furious so I thought I'd offload here. I'm a 5"6 woman who weighs 61 kilos, I don't diet, I exercise, I eat relatively healthy and I enjoy sharing that journey with people. I'm 57 this year and I'm happy with the way I look, I feel absolutely f*****g great. So I just thought I'd post that there."

The former Big Brother host continued: "I can't really do much about my neck and my face unless I fill it with filler. I don't know what to do about that, my neck is my neck and maybe the light was bad in my last post or something. All you have to do is look at the rest of the posts on my page and see that I'm not unhealthy. But this was horrible.

"So, I'm parking that there and am just saying, maybe think before you post something. Wouldn't it be nicer to say something positive? And if you can't say anything positive then maybe just don't post."

Fellow presenter Emma Willis was quick to respond, writing: "You look absolutely f***ing strong. And great. Use the block button." Podcaster, author and former Queen of the Jungle Giovanna Fletcher replied: "You are phenomenal in every way. It’s easy to say ‘ignore the f**kers’ but the truth is we all know how words from others can impact us. Just know that there are so many people out there thankful for your existence and all you’ve brought to their lives!!"

Comedian and TV star Paddy McGuinness shared: "Jealousy, resentment or a need to feel superior. Other people’s low self-esteem and social media are never a good mix. Keep that strong chin up D. Love from the North." Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden simply wrote: "F**k em darling." Singer Natasha Bedingfield typed: "Love you Davina. You are an inspiration. You are fit and healthy and a totally positive influence."

EastEnders actress Emma Barton posted: "Bloody hell Davina.. ignore all this BS!! You have been our spokeswoman… helped so many of us women, encouraged us.. made us learn from you.. you are beautiful & my hero actually!!! Keep being you!!!! #howdarethey." Loose Women's Judi Love added: "It’s so disgusting that they would even dear! You are truly amazing and beautiful. As a woman it’s feels like sometimes you can’t win. Too big too small!! Why don’t they comment about all the great work you’ve done and doing. How you’ve been an advocate for women health, voices and more!! @davinamccall."
