Yahoo News Diego Carlos speaks out on VAR decision after Chelsea complaints
Diego Carlos has taken to social media to speak out on the VAR call which denied Chelsea a victory at Villa Park on Saturday night.
Villa drew 2-2 with the Blues, but threw away a two-goal advantage after half-time. Morgan Rogers doubled Villa's advantage before the break after Marc Cucurella scored an own goal early on. Villa surrendered their advantage after the hour mark as Noni Madueke and Conor Gallagher levelled the game up.
Emi Martinez came off at half-time due to a hamstring injury and was replaced by Robin Olsen, who made an outstanding save to deny Cole Palmer in a one-on-one, before Chelsea thought they had bagged a late winner in added time.

From the following corner, Axel Disasi's header came off the crossbar and went over the line after hitting Olsen, but VAR ruled the goal out due to a foul on Diego Carlos in the box.
Despite being pushed in the back by Benoit Badiashile and therefore impeded before the Chelsea defender assisted Disasi, the VAR decision has still caused controversy on social media.
Carlos replied to Match of the Day on Instagram as they asked: "Right decision? A last-gasp Chelsea winner was ruled out because of a foul by Benoit Badiashile." The Villa defender responded: "If that wasn't a foul, I don't know what was!"
Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino vented his fury at the decision after full-time. He said: "Me and you and everyone in the stadium watching the game. They didn't see a foul on the pitch and then VAR changed the decision of the referee. For me, that was a normal challenge. The decision was there and that is it.
"For me, it [VAR technology] has damaged a little bit the Premier League and English football. If we want to be the best league in the world, it should be protecting the spectacle and the decision. At Wembley, for handball was a penalty against Manchester City and the referee didn't check and the VAR didn't advise the referee to see the incident.
"[It has] Damaged myself, damaged my team, my players, my fans. We are a young team. The performance was good. I'm so happy with the reaction."
