A 48-hour dispersal order has been issued for North Hykeham after Lincolnshire Police received intelligence of "possible pre-planned disorder." The order will begin at 6pm on Friday, May 24 and last until 6pm on Sunday, May 26.

This notice will allow officers to remove people if necessary to prevent disorder. It covers Millenium Lakes, Apex Lakes and the surrounding areas in North Hykeham.

Inspector Rachel Blackwell said: “Our intelligence relates to a possible pre-planned disorder at Millenium Lakes this weekend. The dispersal order is placed as a preventative measure to prevent Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) and to help keep our communities safe from harm.

"You may see additional officers in the area over the weekend. This is not to limit the enjoyment of the open spaces, but to ensure that anyone going there is responsible, safe and not affecting the enjoyment of others visiting or living nearby."

Anyone who sees large gathering causing a nuisance should call 101 and quote incident 153 of 23 May 2024.
