Eddie Murphy’s eldest daughter Bria Murphy, 29, has shared the first look at her father’s newborn baby with partner Paige Butcher. The snap is also the first time Murphy has posed with all ten of his children at the same time.
The festive photo shows Murphy, 57, with his long-term partner and fiancé Australian Paige Butcher, 39, both of their mothers and all ten of Murphy’s children.
Butcher is pictured cradling their one-month-old son Max while Murphy is holding their first child together, two-year-old daughter Izzy Oona. Surrounded by the couple – who have been together since 2012 – are as follows:
Eric, 29 (with Paulette McNeely), son Christian, 28 (with Tamara Hood), daughters Bria, 29, Shayne Audra, 24, Zola Ivy, 19, Bella Zahra, 16, and son Miles, 26 (with ex-wife Nicole Mitchell Murphy), and daughter Angel Iris, 11 (with Spice Girl Mel B). Also pictured is Paige’s mother and Murphy’s mother Lillian.
The post, shared on Boxing Day, already has over 23,000 likes and is simply captioned, ‘Merry Christmas.’
The latest addition to Murphy’s brood Max, has been given the middle name Charles in honour of Murphy’s late brother Charlie Murphy, who passed away in 2017 after a battle with leukaemia.
The rare family photo comes just a month after Mel B declared Eddie Murphy was the love of her life. Mel conceived her daughter Angel with Murphy after their short-lived romance in 2006, and he initially refused to acknowledge her after claiming the Spice Girl had ‘tricked’ him into the pregnancy.
However, after years of the actor and comedian being reportedly absent from the girl’s life, it seems the father and daughter are now on good terms. So much so, that since Mel B has been recovering from her freak accident, Angel has been placed under the legal care of Murphy while her mother heals.
Mel B was forced to pull out of her American book tour responsibilities mid-December when she fell down the stairs. She broke several ribs and severely injured her right hand.
Her lawyer has stated that neither drugs nor alcohol played a part in the unfortunate accident.
