Emmerdale spoilers: Villager arrested for Caleb attack, Belle gets shock news on Lachlan

Everyone in the village appears to have something to hide in the wake of the attack on Caleb on Emmerdale next week, but it’s Mack who the police have in their sights.

Plus Belle is left rattled when she receives news on Lachlan. And Mandy and Paddy are experiencing intimacy issues in their relationship.

Mack is arrested

As Caleb remains in a coma following his push over a ravine, the police make an arrest. And the person being taken into custody is Mack, who’s arrested after Chloe fails to corroborate his story. And under questioning, things soon start to look rather damning.

But it’s not just Mack who’s arousing suspicion, at least when it comes to the rest of the village. For instance, Chas has her doubts about Cain, while Will’s shifty behaviour results in Kim demanding that she tell him the truth. And Leyla’s alibi is also looking ever-so fragile.

But as news breaks that Caleb is to be brought out of a coma, just how much might he be able to remember about his assailant?

Belle receives worrying news about Lachlan

Lachlan White – now there’s a name we haven’t heard in a while. But we’re set to get an update on the incarcerated killer when PC Swirling reveals to Belle that he’s being moved to another prison.

Thrown into an anxious state by this development, Belle decides not to tell Tom for fear of overwhelming him and reaches out instead to her therapist. But when Tom is told by Rhona of the trauma that Belle has endured, he’s left worried, especially when he discovers she’s headed off alone.

He and Chas then decide to search for Belle, and also take the opportunity to awkwardly address their shared past together. And when Belle is eventually located, the pair start to fear that her mental health has taken a turn for the worse.

Paddy and Mandy’s intimacy worries

The eyes of the village are on Paddy and Mandy’s relationship, but when she makes a move on him in private, he opts not to stay the night, makes his excuses and leaves.

Later, as Rhona has her nail appointment, Mandy confides her worries about this lack of intimacy between her and Paddy. But the stylist is left feeling comforted when Rhona offers a fresh perspective.

Paddy, meanwhile, is offloading onto Marlon, to whom he admits the reason for his reticence. It’s a conversation that leaves Paddy feeling bolstered and, soon enough, he’s soon turning up a the salon to woo a stunned Mandy. Can the two of them get their romance back on track?

Amelia’s a social media star – but at what cost?

Amelia is convinced that her social media page will benefit both her and Esther, and despite Dan’s initial misgivings, he eventually decides to trust her.

Before long, a subscriber is asking to donate to the page, but Amelia is soon left feeling creeped out by a weird message she’s received. Unaware of what’s going on, Dan is just impressed that Amelia’s phone is buzzing.

But despite another odd message arriving, Amelia decides to head out shopping to spend some of the money she’s making. However it’s obvious that Dan does not understand the world that Amelia has now found herself caught up in…
