Growing concerns for Scots schoolgirl missing on first week of summer holidays

Concerns are growing for the welfare of a missing schoolgirl who has vanished on the first week of the summer holidays.

Chloe Abbott was last seen on South Road in Dundee at around 9.30pm on Monday, July 1.

Police are appealing for information as part of their efforts in tracing the 14-year-old.

Chloe is described as being around 5ft 1ins, of slim build, with long blonde hair. When last seen she was wearing a grey hoodie.

Police Constable Steven Hosie said: “Concerns are growing for Chloe’s welfare and we want to make sure she is safe and well.

“If you have seen Chloe or know where she might be then please get in touch. If Chloe hears about this appeal we would urge her to let us know she is safe and well.”

Anyone who can help is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3636 of Monday, July 1, 2024.

Meanwhile police in Dundee are also searching for a 17-year-old boy.

Brandon Gibson was last seen at around 10.20pm on Monday in the Forth Place area of the city.

He is described as around 5’3” tall, with dark hair and was last seen wearing a black jacket, black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.

Police Constable Joe Abbot said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of Brandon.

“I would ask anyone who has any information on Brandon’s whereabouts to get in touch with Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 0566 of Monday, July 1, 2024.”
