Holly Willoughby reveals she'll never be a contestant on 'Dancing On Ice'
Holly Willoughby has ruled out ever appearing as a contestant on Dancing On Ice.
Willoughby, who recently returned from Australia where she stepped in for Ant McPartlin to host the latest series of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here with Dec Donnelly, explained that she is more than happy with her role on the ice skating show.
Despite her children’s wishes to see her compete on the ITV show, which kicks off in January, the This Morning presenter recently revealed at a launch event for the new series: “My kids are really excited about Dancing On Ice. They love it.
“They love coming down to rehearsals. Because it’s on a Sunday, they’re not at school so can come down and hang out.”
“My children would love to see me skating on the show,” the mum of three continued to comment.
“I’ve been skating with them and can sort of get around. I’ll do it for fun at this time of year but not dancing.”
She went on to add: “Nothing is out of the question but it is probably highly unlikely for me to go anywhere near the ice.”
As the final preparations are made for the show and the celebrities continue to rehearse for their big debut, Willoughby revealed who she’s most excited about seeing on the ice.
“I’m really excited about Gemma. She is going to give it some, isn’t she? I think she is excited to show everybody what she can do.
“She is going to surprise a lot of people.”
Meanwhile, Collins herself declared that she is going to prove everyone wrong with her appearance on the ITV show.
“It’s all good TV, this is what it’s about, the GC’s all about the drama, isn’t she? I’m going to prove a lot of people wrong and that’s the bit I can’t wait for.
“If they said ‘we’re filming the show tomorrow, are you ready?’, (I’d say) ‘hell yes I’m ready! I’m not here to take part, I’m here to take over. I’ve got fighting spirit on this show. Everyone thought I was going to quit but I’m still here.”
