DRIVERS are being warned of temporary closures set to be in place at Rayleigh Weir Roundabout next week.

Overnight closures will be in place on the A127 at the major roundabout from Monday while Essex County Council carries out night works.

The closures will be in place between 9pm and 5am on weekdays until July 19, when the county council expects to complete its works.

Traffic on the A127 in both directions will be diverted up and over the on and off slips at the Rayleigh Weir Roundabout in order to exit and re-join the road.

Temporary traffic management will also be in place on the roundabout, reducing the available lanes next to the roadwork areas.

In a letter to residents, the council warns: "Please be aware that dates may be subject to change at short notice if unexpected issues arise. The latest information will be reflected on signage."
