Man found unresponsive on Glasgow road pronounced dead in hospital

A man who was found unresponsive on a Glasgow street earlier today (June 29) has sadly been pronounced dead in hospital.

Emergency services rushed to the scene on Edinburgh Road at around 10.35am after they received reports of the individual being discovered.

The man was blue-lighted to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he passed away. Police have confirmed that they are not treating the death as suspicious.

A report is due to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A spokesperson from the force said: “Around 10.35am on Saturday, June 29, 2024, we were called to a report of a man found unresponsive in Edinburgh Road, Glasgow.

“Emergency services attended and the man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he was pronounced dead.

“There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
