Dad-of-two shot dead by police on M62 had TEN CCTV cameras surrounding his house
The man shot and killed by police near the M62 had covered his home in more than 10 CCTV cameras.
Dad-of-two Mohammed Yassar Yaqub was killed by firearms officers who boxed in his silver Audi at junction 24 of the motorway in Huddersfield.
A gun was found in the 28-year-old’s car when he was shot dead by police during a “pre-planned” operation on the motorway slip road, according to the police watchdog.
Now new details have emerged of the 28-year-old that reveal how he surrounded his £136,000 home with CCTV cameras, with at least 10 being spotted.

In 2010, Mr Yaqub was cleared of attempted murder and a firearms offence after it was alleged that he opened fire on a car in Birkby Hall Road in Huddersfield.
He was also apparently a fan of expensive supercars, with one picture on his social media account showing him posing on the bonnet of a yellow £409,000 Lamborghini.
Mr Yaqub’s family say they are “in shock” over his death that took place on Monday evening.
A statement released by a solicitor said: “Mr Yaqub’s family are in shock, and are distraught. They would ask the media to respect their privacy at this difficult time.
“The family are fully aware that the incident that led to the death of Mr Yaqub is currently being investigated by the IPCC and they do not wish to make any further comment at this stage.”
Meanwhile, a family friend of Yassar claimed he had also been caught up in a gun attack two years ago when he was injured with shotgun pellets.
In June 2015, police said two people suffered minor injuries when a shotgun was fired in Rudding Street by balaclava-clad gunmen in a “targeted attack” as children played.
Mohammed Rafiq, 57, said: “Everyone is shocked really – and we’ll find out from an investigation what actually happened.
“I know Yasser was shot just a few metres from his home about two years ago.
“I know this because the street was all cordoned off and I couldn’t get to my house.”
Mr Rafiq added: “He’d got married about three years ago, I’m not sure how many children he had though.
“He was his dad’s only son and Yasser had three sisters.
“It’s shocking and sad, his parents must be devastated.”
More family and friends arrived at the family home to drop off flowers throughout the afternoon.
Meanwhile, the address was swarmed by investigators and armed police officers.
Five cop vehicles, including an armed response unit, dog unit and undercover car, surrounded Yasser’s home in Rudding Street, Huddersfield.
The cul-de-sac was filled with six officers who jumped out of two vehicles and spoke to a woman before they started turfing people out of the home.
The street in Huddersfield, West Yorks., was then filled with 20 people who came from inside the property.
