Mel B hints that Geri Horner is lying about her age

Mel B’s promotional tour for her memoir Brutally Honest continues. Just a day after making the somewhat surprising admission that Eddie Murphy is the love of her life, she’s now hinted that one of her fellow Spice Girls may be lying about her age.

The Spice Girls (minus Victoria Beckham) are due to tour the UK in 2019, but it looks like there may already be a rift between Mel B and Geri Horner.

While promoting her book on Tuesday’s Loose Women, Mel B said she has no idea how old Geri Horner is. Horner is believed to have been born in August 1972, making her 46-years-old.

“The thing is Geri has hidden her age for the most part of being a Spice Girl, and when I think about it I still don’t know how old Geri is,” Mel B told the Loose Women panel.

And the rather cutting remarks didn’t end there. She went on to say that while Horner’s date of birth can be found through a Google search, this could also be incorrect.

“That would be the running joke, and I’m sure maybe she’s faked it in the past, I’m not sure, but I don’t think anybody really knows how old she is.

“You can Google it but I think she’s probably given people the wrong age – have you, Geri?”

This swipe came just hours after 43-year-old Mel B made several other digs at Horner during a Heart Radio interview with another fellow Spice Girl – Emma Bunton.

In a quick fire section of the interview she was asked to say who had the worst breath of the group to which she replied “Geri.” And when host Jamie Theakston asked: “Which Spice Girl annoys you the most?” she again replied “Geri.”

It was speculated that Mel B had fallen out with another Spice Girl – Victoria Beckham when she dressed as her for Halloween with the mocking sign ‘Not I am not going on tour’ – obviously a reference to Beckham being the only Spice Girl not to participate in the upcoming reunion tour.
