We received a wonderful range of images which captured the spirit of our theme for this month's competition.

Our camera club snappers sent us their photographs from June with the brief of "al fresco".

Many embraced the great outdoors including runner-up Annette Radford who caught some adorable lambs and their mother enjoying some "al fresco" grazing.

Double points go to Janet Levett who captured a glorious sunny day at the riverside in Amberley. Visitors can get an "al fresco" experience at the tea rooms there.

We also loved Andy Stevens' snap of a reflection of the lake on a summer afternoon at Buchan Country Park in Crawley.

In Brighton, Karen Bedford took a brilliant snap of Blakers Park with the sea in the background and its 19th century clock tower standing proudly in the centre. The 50ft structure was unveiled in1896 and donated by the park’s founder Mayor Alderman J G Blaker.

Made of steel, cast iron and finished in bronze it remains a focal point of the park.

Emma Crosby found beauty in the every day with her shot of Tivoli Cafe in Brighton's Reigate Road. It is a picture of summer with its brightly coloured bikes and outdoor seating.

But it was Joanna Kaczorowska's snap of a honey bee enjoy some al fresco lavender in Bognor that takes the crown.

July's theme is "circles". Post your entry on The Argus Camera Club Facebook page, mentioning where it was taken. It is one entry per person and the deadline is midnight on July 31. As always, the winner will receive a £50 prize. Good luck.
