Thames Valley Police have recently sent out an apology for creating a lot of noise last night in Earley.

A spokesperson for the force revealed that police cars were chasing an individual at 3 am Saturday June 29 and the vehicle that they were pursuing eventually ended up in a hedge.

The spokesperson posted the following statement on social media:

"To the residents of Earley who might have been woken by our sirens in the middle of the night... Sorry!

"We were having a pursuit at 3 am with a chap who didn't fancy chatting to us about his not so legal business interests.

"His driving skills weren't the best and he eventually took a left turn a little too hard and ended up in a hedge. He then tried running off but he was carefully taken to the ground and arrested for multiple offences."
