The woman alleged to be the real-life stalker in Baby Reindeer has issued a warning to Stephen King, stating she's prepared to take legal action if he attempts to create a film adaptation of the Netflix hit.

The renowned horror author and avid fan of the show, penned an extensive "essay" on the gripping drama after becoming engrossed, sparking rumours of potential future projects.

The woman, identified by online sleuths as the inspiration for the character Martha in the series, has been thrust into the limelight after writer Richard Gadd based the show on his personal experiences of being stalked by her.

The Scottish woman, now believed to be living in London and thought to be a former student of Aberdeen University, claims she has received "death threats as a result of his show" and argues that the Netflix series "is a gross intrusion into my privacy". She stated: "I don't want people to know where I live but I will not be silenced."

She regularly shares her grievances on her Facebook page, asserting that she is the true victim.

Stephen King is the latest target of her online tirades, receiving a stern warning should he plan to initiate a sequel. She cautioned him: "If this twerp Stephen ding dong King tries to do a movie horror killer dear I'm suing him. Point blank.", reports the Mirror.

She added: "I mean, Gadd will hop to the idea."

In the gripping production of Baby Reindeer, actress Jessica Gunning takes on the role of Martha. In a recent outburst on Wednesday, she also levelled criticism at Richard for his alleged obsession with fame and berated him for not taking his rape allegations to the police.

She hinted at an upcoming revelation to her followers, stating: "Doing a major TV appearance next week....Who is ready? ".

The harrowing story of Baby Reindeer stretches back ten years to when Gadd was a rising star in the UK comedy circuit with shows like Breaking Gadd, Waiting for Gaddot, and Monkey See Monkey Do. However, amidst his growing popularity, Gadd was enduring a personal hell.

An overzealous fan began to torment the comedian following a seemingly benign gesture when he offered her a complimentary cup of tea during his barista days, sparking an unyielding campaign of harassment.

In a conversation with the Daily Record, she expressed how her life has been turned upside down by the Scottish comedian's theatrical version of events, and in a twist of fate, found herself the target of stalking since Baby Reindeer gained widespread attention and gripped the public.

"I'm the victim here, not Richard Gadd. I've had death threats as a result of his show despite the fact that a lot of the things he claimed are just not true," she stated, further revealing the severity of the threats: "Someone online said, 'If I find you I will kill you'. A guy in North Carolina said that he and other people were going to stalk me like I am supposed to have stalked Gadd."

She added: "I don't think I look like that woman actress playing Martha."

Her remarks follow as a police probe is initiated after Gadd's supporters wrongly pinpointed an individual as the comedian's sexual abuser, leading to a barrage of online abuse and menacing threats. In the fourth instalment of the seven-episode series, audiences receive a vivid depiction of Gadd's role, Donny, enduring sexual abuse by a made-up male TV scriptwriter named Darrien.
