Bobby Brazier has revealed that he uses meditative chanting to combat stress following Brazier's emotional weekend with Dianne Buswell on Strictly.

The EastEnders star - who is currently competing in Strictly Come Dancing - opened up about his spirituality and how he uses it to cope with the pressures of work and fame.

Brazier told the For Soul's Sake podcast: "Well, anytime I’m at home, chanting makes it so easy.

"I am reaping the rewards of chanting. And at work, I’m lucky that, you know, sometimes I’ll be in my dressing room or sometimes I won’t need to be on set. There’s always an opportunity to chant. Even on the train and going to work in the car. It’s always an opportunity. No one is ever too busy to meditate. Ever. It is an opportunity to purify consciousness."

The 20-year-old model and actor lost his mother Jade Goody' when he was just five-years-old after she died from her battle with cervical cancer in 2009.

Brazier also shared his advice for coping with grief and revealed he had found talking about his mother had helped.

He said: "Talk to the people that have also gone through it, a family member or friend, someone else who knew that person, talk to them."

He added: "My mum, was never MY mum, she was never mine, I didn't own her. Her essence hasn't changed, it hasn't gone anywhere, she was that before she was my mum and after she was my mum and during."

Brazier previously revealed that if he and professional partner Buswell are able to perform their Couples Choice dance on the show, he is considering a tribute to his mother.

He told The Mirror: "There's a few – it depends on the mood. Saturday Love and also This Woman's Worth by Maxwell - that would be beautiful, I'd hope to make people cry doing that. Maybe I'll dedicate that one [to my mum]. I haven't thought about it, but maybe that one.”

Goody died aged 27 in 2009, several years after she split from TV presenter Jeff Brazier, father to her sons Bobby and Freddie, then aged just five and four.

Bobby launched a modelling career at the age of 16, appearing on the catwalk for Dolce & Gabbana at Milan Fashion Week in 2020.

Jeff has previously explained why he charges his son rent.

He said: "If the work ethic isn't there, then I would put some things in place in order to encourage that, such as charging Bobby rent.

"That's something I decided to do because I believe in that as a motivational tool for him."
