Two people airlifted to hospital in critical condition after serious crash

Two people remain in hospital in a critical condition following a crash in Southend last night (June 28). Officers were called to Eastern Avenue shortly after 11pm following reports of a single-vehicle collision.

An air ambulance was sent to the scene, and two people were taken to hospital where they remain in a critical condition. The road remained closed in both directions overnight, but has since been reopened.

A spokesperson for Essex Police stated: “The vehicle involved was a black Volkswagen Golf. If anyone witnessed or has dashcam footage of the incident, please come forward.”
